EARL OKIN (UK) - SATURDAY, 25TH FEBRUARY 2012
“Multi-talented musical supremo - Time Out”
“Master of the art of cabaret - Evening News”
“His performance was brilliant... it was no real surprise when one encore wasn't going to be enough - The Belfast Herald”
Earl Okin is one of those rare performers..... a true original!!! Genuinely versatile, his talents range from that of a fine Singer-Songwriter, (in styles ranging from chart orientated tracks to the classiest of Jazz-Standards, via authentic Bossa-Novas), to that of Pianist, Guitarist, world class Jazz-Singer, as well as his unique standing as ' Vocal Trumpeter, Trombonist and Clarinetist'.
Apart from appearances on British shows too numerous to mention, Earl has appeared at all the major London venues including The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, The London Palladium, Wembley Arena, The Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and The Barbican.
Earl has appeared alongside everyone from Paul McCartney and Van Morrison to Benny Carter, Stephane Grappelli and Cleo Laine. He has entertained the Queen and Princess Margaret.
Added to all of this is his humour, sophisticated and witty enough to have made him perhaps the leading music & comedy act on the unforgiving London Alternative Comedy Circuit.
Finally, his one man show has made his name a legend at the amazing Edinburgh International Festival and venues literally around the world. He has been described as a cross between Harry Connick Jr. and Victor Borge, but there is really only one... Earl Okin!
BOOTHBY GRAFFOE (UK) - SATURDAY, 25TH FEBRUARY 2012
“In my opinion Boothby Graffoe is one of the finest singer-songwriters in the world today - Richard Thompson”
“He writes songs that are both beautiful and funny - Guardian”
“Wonderful, loveable, bitter-sweet, funny and endlessly delightful... his songs are sublime pieces of comic writing - Scotsman”
“...it's not fair to call them comedy songs, they are much more than that, there are some I would dare to call genius -The Times”
This most recent Boothby Graffoe instalment presents audiences with his usual limitless imagination and effortlessy funny array of happy songs, one sad song, silly stories and far reaching flights of fancy from this master of the absurd.
For a man who always appears so relaxed on stage, Boothby Graffoe has a pretty hectic schedule and although having taken a 3 year holiday from stand-up comedy Boothby still took time in to support Canadian super-group Barenaked Ladies on 2 UK tours and 2 cruises, to the Caribbean and the Mexican gulf. Boothby has been asked to join the Ladies again for their UK tour this September and also next year on a 3rd cruise out of Miami in early Feb. Details on his own website www.boothbygraffoe.com. Boothby has also supported Omid Djalili in 30 odd dates around the British Isles and Ireland.
Graffoe's absurd, sharp, often improvised humour, combined with his unique line in original comic songs - including the wonderfully bizarre Umbrella Head Boy and Planet Dog - has won him a legion of fans around the world. Recent live appearances have included Melbourne, Bermuda, Paris, Brussels, Glastonbury, Dublin, London and a national tour of Denmark!
Truly he's travelled the world and brought the house down wherever he's performed. The man is an Edinburgh Festival legend. For anyone wanting to make a visit to the festival complete, the answer is simple: go to a Graffoe show.

PAUL ZERDIN (UK) - EXTENDED SET - FRIDAY, 16TH MARCH 2012
“At the top of his game...Zerdin is so sure of his skills and so in control of his material that he isn't just performing he's showing off, clearly having as much of a laugh as his audience. 5 Stars - The Scotsman”
“If you think the words 'brilliant' and 'ventriloquist' have no place in the same sentence, go and see Paul Zerdin for some brutal re-education - Evening Standard”
“Yes, ventriloquists can be funny too. Zerdin's puppets are sharp-tongued, malicious little bastards. Avoid the front row, especially if you're ugly - The Observer”
“The best ventriloquist Britain has discovered for many years, who has mastered the knack of being acceptable to both comedy club and family audiences - The Stage”
Paul Zerdin is without doubt the UK's top ventriloquist. He began his career as a magician at the age of 15 and, after ruining his GCSEs, decided that the only thing he could do was to go into showbusiness. For the next five years he appeared up and down the country on the club and holiday camp circuit honing his magic while slowly introducing his stand-up comedy and ventriloquism. At the age of 20 he landed his first proper TV job as presenter on GMTV's children's programme 'Rise and Shine'.
Some years later Paul won ITV's nationwide 'The Big Big Talent Show' hosted by Jonathan Ross. Since his first Royal performance in 1997 Paul has appeared regularly on shows such as ITV's Tonight at the London Palladium with Bruce Forsyth, The Big Stage, The Freddie Starr Show, LWT`s top rated Christmas shows Shirley Bassey's 60th Birthday Special, Richard Digance Christmas Special, ITV's You Bet, BBC1`s Generation Game, ITV's A Royal Gala, Carlton TV's Stand Up at Jongleurs, BBC TV's The Stand Up Show, Paramount Comedy's 'The World Stands Up', 'Late Night With Jerry Springer', Ch.4's The Big Breakfast, ITV's This Morning, BBC1's Children in Need and Open House with Gloria Hunniford, Today with Des and Mel and, for Sky TV, 'Undercover Magic'. He's starred in TV commercials, too, for Kelloggs, Persil and Honda, and has entertained British forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Stage shows include The Paul Zerdin Show to sell-out summer audiences in Blackpool, and 'Paul Zerdin - No Kids' at The Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
Christmas 2007 saw Paul's 13th year in Pantomime appearing as 'Buttons' in 'Cinderella' alongside Nigel Havers at the Richmond Theatre, London. Christmas 2008 saw Paul starring alongside John Barrowman in the box office smash hit 'Robin Hood' at the Birmingham Hippodrome. 2009 was also a packed year with shows in Las Vegas, Cape Town, Shanghai and Beijing (yes, really!) and recently touring the UK with The Joe Pasquale Show - after a sell out show at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
He is a Gold Star member of the Inner Magic Circle and has just been voted the best ventriloquist in his family.
MICHAEL FABBRI (UK - EXTENDED SET) - FRIDAY, 16TH MARCH 2012
“exceptionally funny...extremely sharp...hugely enjoyable - The Scotsman”
“Startlingly insightful - The Guardian”
“A strong, very smoothly delivered set... destined for a bigger stage - The List”
Michael Fabbri quickly stamped his mark on the UK circuit appearing in the 2003 final of Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny? and rapidly earned a reputation as one of the most promising up and coming comedians on the circuit. A reputation that he is living up to, regularly perfor'ming for the best clubs in the country.
With a dark and honest approach to some of life's more touchy subjects Fabbri manages to effortlessly slip between some harsh, controversial topics to light-hearted silliness to make for a refreshingly eclectic and brilliantly funny act.
Michael regularly performs for all of the major clubs and promoters on the UK circuit, including: The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Komedia, Glee Clubs, The Stand, Up The Creek, 99 Club, Funny Side of Covent Garden, Jesters, Off The Kerb, CKP, Just The Tonic, GSOH and Mirth Control.
